A vacancy has arisen in Newham Memory Service based in Plaistow at First Ave resource Centre.
We are looking for a band 6 memory assessor. You will have either RMN, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker qualification. Have had experience of working in a CMHT for older people or a Memory Service. You will have excellent cognitive assessment skills and have experience of using cognitive assessments (for instance, Ace 111). As part of the role you will need excellent communication skills in order to be able to provide feedback and initial post diagnostic support including discussing advanced care planning.
The team is multidisciplinary and you will work closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses and occupational therapists. The clinic has MSNAP accreditation and you will be able to benefit from the different learning days and conferences that having accreditation affords the team.
