ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.

Consultant Community Paediatrician

ELFT has been named one of the HSJ Top 10 best places to work in healthcare, HSJ Provider Trust of the Year and graded as Outstanding by our regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in 2018. We believe that staff who feel valued by the Trust and are truly engaged in the organisation deliver better outcomes for our patients. This Trust is clinician-led, and provides the highest possible level of clinical expertise throughout its services.

The posts are for Consultant Community Paediatricians within Specialist Children’s and Young People’s Services and post-holders will join a dynamic team providing care to children and young people with a range of neurodevelopmental and neurodisability conditions in Newham in East London. There’ll be an opportunity to develop a specialist interest in Adoption and Fostering and/or Children and Young People In Care, depending on experience and interest.

Other clinical duties will include triage and supervision for safeguarding and outpatient clinics for neurodisability and child development, determined by the applicants experience and interests.

These roles do not include on-call duties in Acute Paediatrics, although close working with colleagues in Hospital Paediatrics would be encouraged.

Applications will be welcomed from candidates included on or eligible for the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining CCT in Paediatrics. Applicants wishing to work less than full time are also encouraged to apply.

Closing date: 16th September 2019
