This is an exciting time for ELFT. Our vision is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
The Crisis Response Service in East London is looking for Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners Registered Mental Health Nurse or Allied Health Professional to join our Mental Health Crisis Service.
The Mental Health Crisis Service will be a key component of the overall Care Pathway meeting the demands of the Ten-Year Plan in providing Crisis Response by 2021. Clinicians employed into the Crisis Service will be a part of an exciting and developing service aimed at supporting our most vulnerable patients and their families in the least restrictive setting possible by providing mental health assessments, including risk assessments, and a variety of brief interventions, carried out by highly skilled clinicians.
We require clinicians who are confident with working at fast-pace and in assessing and managing risk in the least restrictive way. Clinicians will be skilled mental health assessors with a proven ability to signpost service users towards the most effective treatment pathways.
The successful applicants will participate in a 7 day duty rota with a variety of shift patterns including night duty. This is a 365 days per year service. We are seeking clinicians to develop the crisis pathways further and to join existing friendly and supportive staff with strong leadership and direction. Our work is interesting and varied with plenty of opportunities to learn new skills.
The role is predominantly based alongside the Home Treatment Team at Mile End Hospital.
We would welcome clinicians who are keen to develop or further enhance their skills in a variety of areas and to help shape this exciting and developing service.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
