COMMUNITY LEARNING DISABILITY SERVICE

An opportunity has arisen within the Community Learning Disability Service at Tower Hamlets for a Band 5 Physiotherapist. We are offering a fixed term contract of 12 months to the successful candidate .
The Community Learning Disability Service is a large established multi-professional integrated service. We are looking for an enthusiastic innovative physiotherapist to work with our learning disabled clients in the diverse borough of Tower Hamlets.
The post is community based and requires a dynamic skilled physiotherapist to work with a range of agencies such as education, leisure, day service providers and social care in providing physiotherapy excellence to learning disabled clients aged 18 years and over.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent assessment and communication skills and be adaptable to changing situations.
Experience of Learning Disabilities is not essential but an understanding of the National Agenda for people with Learning Disabilities is desirable.
The successful candidate will be clinically supported by the Band 7 physiotherapist and Lead Clinician for the service. The Care Programme Manager will provide managerial support to the successful candidate.
This post falls within the Criminal Records Disclosure Policy and therefore a criminal record check will be applied for, for the successful candidate.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
