Geographic areas our services cover
ELFT provides a wide range of community and inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, older adults and forensic services to the City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. We provide psychological therapy services to the London Borough of Richmond, as well as Children and Young People's Speech and Language Therapy in Barnet.
In addition, the Trust provides forensic services to the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, and some specialist mental health services to North London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
The specialist Forensic Personality Disorder service serves North London and the specialist Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME adult outpatient service serves North London and the South of England.
The Trust's specialist Mother and Baby Psychiatric Unit receives referrals from London and the South East of England.
Vacancy: Commercial Bid Manager - 363-CP2818-A
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work in an innovative Trust and contribute towards the Trust modernisation in an advanced integrated healthcare system. Reporting to the Associate Director of Business Development the candidate will be able to influence the strategic direction of the Trust.
The Trust’s Business Development Unit has developed to enable us to address the demands of the changing healthcare market. This includes responding to the Mental Health Five Year Forward View and other commissioning opportunities, addressing the changing commissioning & delivery landscape and leading on new business opportunities. We are looking for a resourceful, organised and adaptable Commercial Bid Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with senior colleagues across the Trust at a strategic level to support the Trust in both retaining existing contracts and pursuing new growth opportunities. You will lead the bid process from initial identification through to final submission, to ensure the Trust responds to competitive tender opportunities with compliant, compelling and financially sustainable proposals that will support the Trust in maintaining and generating income streams. This is a varied role and in addition to formal tenders you will have the opportunity to build a diverse range of commercial experience within the Business Development Unit. You will be highly organised and have strong writing skills, with proven experience in leading successful bids and tenders on a large scale and also have experience in developing business cases.
The Trust has an outstanding CQC rating and is a key partner in the nationally recognised pilot for integrated healthcare in Bedfordshire and Luton as well as a delivery partner in the Tower Hamlets Vanguard, Newham and Hackney delivery systems. As part one of the largest Mental Health and Community Trusts the role will afford the candidate to advance their career in the modernising direction that the Business Development Unit will deliver.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
