ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for maternity cover (until June 2020) of our Band 7 Specialist Occupational Therapist within our Older Persons Service for Bedfordshire and Luton.
We are looking for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist who is enthusiastic about working in Older Persons Mental Health, and can demonstrate specialist clinical skills (particularly within the inpatient setting) and leadership skills. We would require you to have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, and to have good workload management skills and a compassionate approach to service users.
As part of this role you would also be expected to take a leadership role within the service, deputising for the Head OT as needed, and to actively contribute to service development.
We are a dynamic and forward thinking team that actively encourages and supports professional and service development. Regular managerial and professional supervision will be provided and we also provide monthly opportunities to participate in OT Service-wide CPD events. Professional development and training are actively encouraged through the appraisal process, and we also offer specialist training opportunities and a Band 7 Support and Development programme.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
