Job title: Band 7 Specialist CAMHS GP Liaison Practitioner

In Bedfordshire we are at the forefront of innovation within CAMHS, providing emotional and behavioral support to young people and their families.

This post provides a specialist CAMHS early intervention assessment and therapeutic service within primary care settings to young people and their families. This is a community-based post, located within the primary care settings across Bedfordshire offering episodes of care, assessments and short term treatments to a wide variety of clinical presentations. The post holder will be aligned with a cluster of GP practices and be clinical accountable to one of the EBT or NDT pathways;

It is close to the M1 and easily reached by car / train from London, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire to the South and Northamptonshire to the North. The clinic also has the added benefit of free parking and all clinicians are supported by very dedicated and efficient administrative staff.
Car driver is essential for this post.

The East London NHS Trust prioritizes staff wellbeing and we are introducing a range of staff wellbeing initiatives to support this. The clinical team leaders are also committed to staff development: there are regular opportunities for staff to apply for appropriate training courses, including IAPT, physical health care and nurse prescribing along with opportunities to get involved in quality improvement initiatives and new developments in the service. We also have a significant number of positions in the Trust for clinicians up to band 8D, opening up paths for promotion for ambitious members of staff.

We are looking for a creative, forward thinking and motivated Band 7 Registered Mental Health Practitioner who are registered with a professional body to join our friendly and professional multi-disciplinary team. The post-holder will be offering assessments and treatments to young people with a wide variety of clinical presentations, involving families as appropriate. The post-holder will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management. We would welcome someone who is confident in bringing new skills to the team.

You will supported by regular, separate clinical and management supervision sessions, access to a variety of CPD sessions, and annual performance appraisals. You will also participate in weekly clinical discussions with the team.
