Bedfordshire Community Health Services are provided in partnership by East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) and Cambridgeshire Community Services (CCS) NHS Trust.
This role is for an ELFT position within Bedfordshire Community Health Services.

ELFT provides a wide range of community and inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, older adults and forensic services to the City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. We provide psychological therapy services to the London Borough of Richmond, as well as Children and Young People's Speech and Language Therapy in Barnet.
In addition, the Trust provides forensic services to the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, and some specialist mental health services to North London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
The specialist Forensic Personality Disorder service serves North London and the specialist Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME adult outpatient service serves North London and the South of England.
The Trust's specialist Mother and Baby Psychiatric Unit receives referrals from London and the South East of England.
Community Support Worker
Would you be interested in a career within the NHS as a Health Care Assistant in the community? Are you passionate about providing a patient centered support service and want to deliver excellent and compassionate care to people over the age of 18 that live in Bedfordshire?
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic person who has excellent communication, IT literate and problem solving skills alongside a passion for patient centered care. You will work corporately within our Primary Care Team and will be supporting the Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists providing high quality care to housebound residents who live with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.
You will work generically across the nursing and therapy service in order to provide a holistic approach to those you visit in their residential environment, this will include nursing aspects such as clinical assessments/ monitoring and reporting and equipment provision for rehabilitation programmes. You will be part of a MDT team in which you will receive clinical and managerial support, which is also part of a wider MDT team that is aligned to social care professionals in reflection of the NHS 10 year plan.
Our Trust is known for offering excellent training, personal development programmes, supportive coaching and competency frameworks; all to support enhanced skills and career development which meet the goals and aspirations of the individual.
The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible and assist colleagues cover service needs, which will include working across the wider integrated team. Access to a car in order to carry out service duties is essential.

Position: Health Care Assistant
Location: Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard
The Community Nursing Service operates between 08.00 to 21.00 hours and the working pattern will include a variety of rotational shifts which will include weekend, evening and Bank Holiday working.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
