Geographic areas our services cover

ELFT provides a wide range of community and inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, older adults and forensic services to the City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. We provide psychological therapy services to the London Borough of Richmond, as well as Children and Young People's Speech and Language Therapy in Barnet.

In addition, the Trust provides forensic services to the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, and some specialist mental health services to North London, Hertfordshire and Essex.

The specialist Forensic Personality Disorder service serves North London and the specialist Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME adult outpatient service serves North London and the South of England.

The Trust's specialist Mother and Baby Psychiatric Unit receives referrals from London and the South East of England.


 

In Bedfordshire we are at the forefront of innovation within CAMHS, a service which is designed to provide emotional and behavioural support to young people with expert help at the time they need it by East London NHS Trust.


We have a 1.00wte fixed term vacancy to cover maternity leave. This position is for a creative, forward thinking and motivated Band 6 CAMHS LAC Practitioner within our Bedfordshire based clinics in our Looked After Childrens Team.

The post holder will provide a high quality evidence-based mental health intervention service to the clients and carers of the Looked After Childrens Team, providing specialist assessment, treatment and consultation to client systems including children young people their families, carers and professional networks.

The post holder will also provide specialist advice and consultation regarding diagnoses and treatment to CAMHS colleagues, external agencies, working autonomously within professional guidelines.

The post holder will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management, and will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit. Making a real difference to their lives, youll thrive on the chance to drive change through the system so that even more people can access support.

You will need to be an imaginative and strategic thinker, inspirational and determined in your approach and exceptional in your ability to influence others, who will bring new ways of working to embrace this exciting opportunity; to work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist community support services for children and adolescents presenting with a range of emotional and behavioural problems.


Every member of the clinical staff has access to remote working including our electronic health care records and STATMAN training reports.


We use a wide variety of evidence-based therapy approaches with children and young people, with opportunities for further development in IAPT (in association with Reading University).


All staff receive regular clinical supervision, access to a variety of CPD sessions with Clinical Leads, clinical and caseload discussions with senior colleagues.
