An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our People and Culture team within ELFT to enable our business in achieving its strategy through people. This role will play a pivotal role in providing an excellent experience for all our staff, treating them with courtesy and compassion, listening to the views of staff to improve what we do and to provide accessible and supportive human resources services.

As the People Liaison Adviser you will play a key role within the People Relations Team and the wider People and Culture Service to ensure that staff are well supported at every stage in their employment life cycle, particularly where a challenge or issue has arisen. 

This is a challenging yet rewarding post as applicants will be expected to support the people relations team to deliver efficient and professional services to staff, their representatives and managers. They will support caseload work, working independently as a facilitator to ensure that staff and managers are informed and supported at every stage of a HR process

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a Patient/ customer experience environment and or HR environment and possess well-developed interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.  You will need to have a keen eye for detail and demonstrable problem-solving experience, and be able to remain calm under pressure. This challenging role will include meeting staff  as well as speaking regularly on the telephone offering support, information and guidance sometimes in difficult and sensitive situations

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
