ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.

There is a new exciting opportunity for a band 8a Modern Matron on Bevan Ward, PICU and Joshua ward, acute admissions ward, in City and Hackney.

ELFT provides a wide range of community and inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, older adults and forensic services to the city of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. ELFT was rated Outstanding by the CQC and is an excellent place to work, develop and research and get involved in quality improvement.

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative and ambitious staff with a keen interest to uphold our Trust values. The successful candidate will work closely with the ward nursing and medical team and the Borough Lead Nurse to lead the teams and provide the highest standard of care.

As an aspiring Matron, you will be a mental health nurse with a real interest in adult acute mental health and have a passion to drive a range of quality improvement projects. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast pace environment which nurtures learning and development opportunities for all staff. You will be recovery focused and comfortable working closely with services users, their families and friends.
We will offer you a comprehensive induction, regular clinical and managerial supervision, as well as a robust continuous professional development package to explore your talents and provide you with skills to progress further.
