Systemic Psychotherapist in Tower Hamlets CAMHS in Social Care team

Band: 8a

Hours: 37.5

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the CAMHS in Social Care Team within Tower Hamlets. This multi-disciplinary CAMHS team is embedded within Childrens Social Care in the borough providing crucial services to children and young people who are subject to Child in Need, Child Protection and Looked After Children plans. The work of this team is varied and includes providing consultation and training to the wider social care workforce in relation to child and adolescent mental health, the screening of the emotional wellbeing of children as they come into the care system, the provision of specialist CAMHS assessments for children who meet a mental health threshold as well as clinical interventions designed to enhance the Social Care plan.

The post is line managed by the Clinical Team Lead within TH CiSC, and clinical supervision is from the Lead Systemic Psychotherapist in wider CAMHS. However, as this post is senior the successful candidate would be expected to supervise more junior staff in the team as well as ensure a strong Systemic perspective is brought to all the work of the team.
