ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.

The Speech and Language Therapy team in Newham continues to expand.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and flexible therapist, who is ready to join our dynamic children's speech and language therapy department in Newham, East London. Within the Schools' Team, the caseload is varied, split between delivering the core service and the increasingly popular buy-in service to schools.  We are part of a multi-disciplinary therapies team who work together to deliver a high quality service for the children of Newham and their families.
Within the team, there are specialist and highly specialist therapists who provide support and in-house training, and multi-disciplinary working is encouraged.

Newham is in the heart of London's East End with excellent transport links with the rest of London and Essex.  The children's speech and language therapy service has a strong multi-agency work ethic with other services both within the trust and with partner agencies, and offers services across a wide range of care groups in the borough. All posts include working with SLT bilingual co-workers in Newham's diverse and culturally rich community.
If you have excellent interpersonal skills, awareness and sensitivity to the needs of clients from a range of ethnic and linguistic backgrounds and are willing and able to work flexibly, we would like to hear from you.
Candidates with previous clinical experience are welcome to apply, as well as newly qualified therapists.
When completing your application, please note the following carefully.  In order to be considered for shortlisting, your supporting statement should consist only of the following:
1) A list of your 3 key skills/qualities, providing for each an example of how you have applied them in the field of speech & language therapy  [word limit 300 words]
2) An example of a successful initiative that you have carried out in a school or early years setting [word limit 200 words]
