ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Mental Health Law Manager.

Reporting to the Trusts Lead Nurse in Mental Health Law, you will manage aspects of Mental Health Law Administration in the Trust and specifically lead on matters pertaining to the Mental Capacity Act 2005, providing practical advice and support to clinicians, other internal staff and external stakeholders.

You will implement action in relation to mental health law and associated legislation as it pertains to the Trust-wide provision of care within the legal framework as part of the Trusts corporate Mental Health Law Service and take responsibility for other mental health law matters as directed by the Lead Nurse in Mental Health Law or the Associate Director of Mental Health Law.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and enhance your knowledge and expertise, whilst being part of a team that promotes the rights of service users and supports clinical teams to deliver care within the legal framework.

You will have excellent management skills, the ability to engage, connect, influence and enthuse, and you must be able to work well under pressure, be organised and systematic.

Support and training will be available within a team that values attention to detail, discussion and innovation.

This is a wonderful opportunity for experienced practitioners who are looking to bring their considerable knowledge and skills to the role.
