Clinical Behaviour Specialist (Band 7)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Clinical Behaviour Specialist to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary community team. The team provides specialist health services to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs across Bedfordshire.

The Bedfordshire Services for People who have a Learning Disability has close working links with the Bedfordshire Intensive Support Service and the Adult Autism Service offering a comprehensive range of support for people with learning disabilities across the county. The Clinical Behaviour Specialist post holder will work alongside Psychology and multi-disciplinary colleagues to deliver support for people with learning disabilities and complex behaviour within the services challenging behaviour pathway, in line with best practice and policy guidance. In addition to assessment and intervention, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of training and supporting organisational development work in the area.

As part of the role there will be opportunities to participate in innovative service development projects. You will receive regular supervision and the service is committed to continuous professional development with access to internal and external training opportunities.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. They will actively engage in direct clinical work and support the development of others in the team.

This post is being offered up to full-time (1.0 WTE), however we welcome applications from candidates interested in part-time working arrangements.
