ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.
The East London Mother and Baby Unit is a specialist service that aims to provide mental health care for mothers and support in the care of their infants. The mothers are either experiencing mental health problems antenatally or up to one year postnatally. Applicants for this position will need to be a qualified RMN with a willingness to work toward developing their understanding of this specialist field and of infant care and development whilst working within a multidisciplinary team. We provide a national service and interactions with other teams are vital so the applicant would need to possess excellent communication skills. The post holder will be expected to work on a roster system which covers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is an expectation that the post holder will contribute to the wider unit at City and Hackney and may at times be rostered to work on other acute wards locally.
If you have at least 1 years post qualification acute inpatient experience, have completed your preceptorship and feel you are able to contribute to the work we do and the difference we make, we welcome you to apply. (Please note: candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered for the post).
ELFT has been named one of the HSJ Top 10 best places to work in healthcare, HSJ Provider Trust of the Year and graded as Outstanding by our regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in 2018. We believe that staff who feel valued by the Trust and are truly engaged in the organisation deliver better outcomes for our patients. This Trust is clinician-led, and provides the highest possible level of clinical expertise throughout its services.
We have set ourselves the mission to improve the quality of life of all we serve, and have embarked on an ambitious Quality Improvement Programme to transform the culture of the Trust to one of continuous improvement, delivered through participation of all staff and with service users, carers and families at the heart of our efforts to improve.
All applications made through NHS Jobs account will be processed by TRAC System. Note that some emails may go to your spam/junk mailbox.
