City & Hackney Centre for Mental Health, 10 PA substantive consultant psychiatrist post covering Ruth Seifert Ward, a male inpatient ward with working age patients and a focus on Early Intervention in Psychosis.
We are looking for an enthusiastic consultant psychiatrist for one of our well established male inpatient wards at the City & Hackney Centre for Mental Health. Ruth Seifert ward is staffed with a fantastic ward team as you would expect from a CQC Outstanding rated NHS Mental Health and Community Trust. We are proud of our services and we view this post as a key part of our inpatient services. The post-holder will be expected to provide senior clinical leadership to the multi-disciplinary team working as a part of the inpatient team and take an active role in service development and quality improvement. The ward takes men with first episode psychosis and has close links with our excellent community early intervention service.
Our Trust is a financially stable progressive mental health and community services organisation with very strong clinical leadership at all levels. We have a focus on improving the experience of patients, carers and our staff. In recent years, we have been developing a quality improvement programme that provides our clinical staff, patients and carers with skills to transform our services. We believe that our staff are our greatest asset - and our best agents for change.
Applications will be welcomed from candidates included in or eligible for the Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining their CCT.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
