ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.

Please state three reasons to shortlist me in the first paragraph of the supporting statement in order to be considered for shortlisting.

Newham Talking Therapies is looking to recruit a Senior PWP to join a busy and high performing team. This is an opportunity for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) with substantial post qualification experience, who are committed to this model to develop their career in the low intensity service. This role involves case management supervision of PWPs and Trainees to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery is maintained.

The post holder will have a sufficient post qualification to demonstrate a high level of skill and expertise as well as offer high volume evidence-based practice in the delivering low intensity interventions within an IAPT service. You will also have completed the IAPT Supervisor Training course.

The post holder will assist the PWP Team Lead and Senior PWP Lead in the organisation and co-ordination of Low Intensity interventions for people with common mental health problems. The post holder will also be expected to keep up to date with new innovations and developments in PWP practice.

Working as part of Newham Talking Therapies offers numerous opportunities for learning and development through strong team support and clinical supervision and being part of an evolving, integrating team. The service has expanded its workshops programs, therefore offering the chance to develop group skills and work alongside colleagues to deliver innovative treatment programs. A keen interest or prior experience in delivering therapy in a group format would be greatly valued.

Due to diverse populations in Newham, this is a unique opportunity to work with clients from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds. The post will include triage and assessment as well as delivery of CBT interventions at Step 2 and Step 3.

This post is offered as a permanent full-time equivalent post, with the expectation that all clinical staff work one late evening per week (12pm until 8pm)
