ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.

Come and join us

If you are qualifying next year why not consider a community nursing post with ELFT?

Who we are

We offer community adult services in the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Newham and also across the county of Bedfordshire, covering a total population of over 900 thousand.

We are a dedicated and diverse team of around 1100 colleagues, working in partnership to enable population health and wellbeing.

Great support at the start of your new career

We are looking for newly qualified nurses to join us in all the three localities that we serve. During your first three months you will have support from a mentor to help you settle into the community area you are working with. In addition our well established preceptorship programme provides a structured package of support across your first year to reinforce your professional learning and to help you develop the practical sustainable skills to become a successful and confident community nurse.

We have lots of opportunities for you to progress quickly after your first year and to develop further specialist skills and experience different clinical roles and settings.

You will be directly involved in facilitating and shaping self-care for patients with long term conditions in order to help keep them as well as possible in their own homes.

Come and join us

We think this is a great place to start your career as a trained nurse. If you want to come and see for yourself please call Vikas Basra on 020 7655 4127 or email at to arrange an informal visit.

Please feel free to submit an application and we will be in contact to arrange an interview. If successful we will offer you a job to start in August 2019.

We look forward to meeting you.
