ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.
ELFT has been named one of the HSJ Top 10 best places to work in healthcare, HSJ Provider Trust of the Year and graded as Outstanding by our regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in 2016. We believe that staff who feel valued by the Trust and are truly engaged in the organisation deliver better outcomes for our patients.
We have set ourselves the mission of providing the highest quality mental health and community care in England, and have embarked on an ambitious Quality Improvement Programme to transform the culture of the Trust to one of continuous improvement, delivered through participation of all staff and with service users, carers and families at the heart of our efforts to improve.
Geographic areas our services cover

Bedford CRHT and Core 24 Psychiatric liaison service are looking to recruit motivated, compassionate and skilled RMNs to join their MDT. Applicants will be expected to contribute to providing high standards of care to residents in the community of Bedfordshire. Staff employed by the Core 24 service will be primarily responsible for proving cover to the ward and A& E department at Bedford Hospital. To apply for this role, you must have RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) registration.
The Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team operate a long day system- 08:30-20:30 / 7 day a week service.
The Core 24 Psychiatric liaison service is a 24 hour service that operates two shift patterns to ensure cover for days and nights.
We welcome interest in joining the services from clinicians committed to the promotion of recovery, personalized care and co-production and able to demonstrate experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and partner agencies. Both teams have undergone recent reviews and have a clear plan for future development of service delivery- applicants should be highly motivated to support the team in taking this forward and have an understanding of the process of Quality Improvement.
ELFT offers Band 6 development opportunities, supervision, reflective practice, mentoring and coaching and will ensure you are fully supported in your new role.
Applicants are asked to include in the first line of their supporting statement their preference to work in either or both services. Your supporting statement must also include 3 reasons to shortlist me. If this section is not included you will not be considered for shortlisting.
